Packing Specifications
As an industry, when we say “12-14” count, that means there will be 12 - 14
legs per 10 lb. (4.5 kg.). This means that in a 20 lb. Box, there are 24 – 28
legs with a proportionate number of large and small claws. A King Crab has 6
legs, one small claw and on large claw. So, in a 12-14 count pack, you will
find 24 - 28 legs, 4 - 5 small claws, 4 - 5 large claws and 1.75 lb. (784 g.)
of broken legs and shoulders. Boxes are labeled “Red” or “Gold” King Crab with
leg counts.
